So, you’re here for Pride Month inspo, right? Good news–we’ve got plenty of ideas to throw your way! Take notes–this is where your Pride Month celebration begins (in your shop and out of it!).
Introspection is a Must
Above all, the best way to celebrate and recognize Pride Month is to do a self-audit–of you and your brand. If Pride is important to you in June, ask yourself–are you doing all you can to support the LGBTQIA+ community year-round?
Of course, celebrating during Pride Month is a great way to show that support. But if you want to be more present and supportive of the community, ask yourself a few of these questions:
What’s my year-round policy on discrimination? Do I have a no-tolerance standard for hate?
Am I investing in and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community throughout the year?
Is supporting Pride a moral, ethical, and value-based priority for my brand? Is it just about fun?
Do I care about diversity, inclusivity, and equality every other month of the year? Are there ways I can celebrate that further?

If you’ve got a platform, get the community involved! Invite talented cosmetologists from the LGBTQIA+ space into your shop for the month. Open your doors, cut breaks on booths, and let your guest stylists get creative!
Host Volunteer Days
Get directly involved! Dedicate a few days a month to hands-on volunteering opportunities in the LGBTQIA+ community for the rest of June (or the entire year!). Find an organization you connect with and appreciate–then lend your will power, time, and resources to helping the cause.
Donate Directly to the LGBTQIA+ Community
Choose an LGBTQIA+ organization that you believe in and trust. Donate a portion of your proceeds in June (and beyond!) to the well-being of this organization. Make sure you share this info with your audience. Why this organization? What’s so special about them? How do they help support the LGBTQIA+ community?
