Nevada Cosmetology Insurance
If you’re practicing cosmetology in the state of Nevada, it’s a wise decision to choose to protect your career with cosmetology liability insurance. With the closeness of the majority of beauty services provided, there will always be a risk of a potential accident, whether in or out of your control.
These accidents can ruin both your reputation and your bank account. Fortunately, we can provide a solution. Carrying the right beauty insurance can protect your license and save you financially in the case of a lawsuit.
Two Main Types of Cosmetology Insurance
Professional liability (or malpractice): protects you against any claim filed from clients who suffered injury or damages due to an error on behalf of your services. For example, a nail tech uses an unsanitary tool that causes the client to get an infection. The client could then choose to file a lawsuit against the nail tech.
General liability (or slip-and-fall scenario): protects you from any claim stemming from clients suffering an injury in the environment in which you run your business. For example, a client could trip and fall in your salon and suffer an injury. The client could then choose to file a claim against you.
Why should I carry cosmetology insurance?
The general rule for liability insurance is the more coverage you have, the better off you’ll be. With this rule in mind, you can better protect your well-earned career from financially-draining lawsuits by carrying your own beauty insurance policy. Because the threat of litigation can significantly alter your credibility, carrying liability insurance is essential to the longevity of your career. You’ve spent thousands of training hours in your path to becoming a beauty professional. Don’t let this hard work go to waste. Choose your reputation and your business first and choose to carry the right beauty insurance.
